We supply thermocouples in all standard calibrations to IEC 584 and only use class I materials to make our sensors.
From the very basic bare wire type sensor to a complex high temperature assembly you can be assured that we can provide a solution to meet your temperature sensing requirement. We supply a vast range of termination heads, cables, connectors and fittings to be able to manufacture temperature sensors to suit your application.
As a specialist in temperature sensors, we can supply sensors on a very quick turn around from order to dispatch. We can also supply other types of temperature sensors including RTD, PT100 types, and various accessories including terminal heads, thermowells, cables, plugs and sockets.
WHAT ARE TEMPERATURE THERMOCOUPLES?
A thermocouple is a simple and widely used temperature sensor that operates on the principle of the Seebeck effect. It consists of two dissimilar metal wires joined together at one end to form a measuring junction. When this junction is exposed to a temperature different from the other (reference) end of the wires, a small voltage is generated. This voltage is proportional to the temperature difference and can be measured and converted into a temperature reading. Thermocouples are robust, versatile, and capable of measuring a very wide range of temperatures, from cryogenic levels up to over 1800°C, depending on the metals used.

Thermocouples offer several important advantages that make them a popular choice in industrial, scientific, and everyday applications. They are highly durable and can withstand harsh environments, including high vibration, shock, and corrosive conditions, where other sensors might fail. Their fast response time allows them to detect rapid temperature changes quickly. They are also very small and can be made in a variety of shapes and sizes to suit different installations. Another key benefit is their wide temperature range; no other common sensor can match the extreme highs and lows that certain thermocouple types can reliably measure. Finally, they require no external power supply to generate their signal, making them inherently safe in explosive atmospheres and simple to use in remote or portable applications.
