Tubular Heater
SKU: RHK
Metal-sheathed compacted tubular heaters, available in straight or bent designs. Tubular heaters are a versatile, general-purpose heating solution with low watt density, ideal for heating air, liquids, and metal platens. Our tubular heaters come in various cross-sections, including flat types and diameters as small as 5mm, and can be supplied either straight or preformed. They feature multiple connection options, such as threaded studs or Faston terminals, with connections available at one or both ends.
Applications for tubular heaters include railway point heating, the plastics industry, apparatus construction, woodworking machinery, the shoe machine industry, domestic appliances, foundries, high-vacuum applications, laboratory work, and the packaging industry.
WHAT ARE TUBULAR HEATERS - TYPE RHK
Turk + Hillinger tubular heaters (Type RHK) are robust, metal-sheathed and compacted heating elements designed for versatile industrial and commercial applications. These heaters feature a durable construction that allows them to be supplied in either straight or pre-bent configurations, making them adaptable to a wide range of installation requirements.
Available in various cross-sections, including flat profiles and diameters starting from as small as 5mm, they can incorporate different connection options such as threaded studs or Faston terminals, with terminations at one or both ends. Ideal for general-purpose heating, they efficiently warm air, liquids, and metal surfaces with a low watt density to ensure safe and consistent performance across sectors like the plastics industry, woodworking machinery, domestic appliances, and railway point heating.
ADVANTAGES OF TUBULAR HEATERS - TYPE RHK
The advantages of utilising Turk + Hillinger tubular heaters (Type RHK) are numerous, particularly in demanding environments where reliability and efficiency are paramount. Their low watt density minimises the risk of overheating, prolonging the lifespan of the heater while providing uniform heat distribution for applications involving air, liquids, or metal platens.
Constructed from high-quality materials such as copper or chrome-nickel steel, these heaters offer excellent resistance to corrosion and mechanical stress, ensuring they perform well in high-vacuum settings, laboratories, or foundries. Additionally, their compact design allows for space-efficient installations, and the ability to handle voltages up to 480V makes them suitable for a broad spectrum of power needs, ultimately reducing energy consumption and maintenance costs over time.
BESPOKE DESIGN TO MEET YOUR NEEDS
What sets Turk + Hillinger tubular heaters (Type RHK) apart is their bespoke nature, allowing for extensive customisation to meet precise customer specifications. Whether it's tailoring the length, diameter, or bend radius to fit unique machinery layouts, or selecting specific sheath materials and connection types for optimal integration, these heaters can be engineered to address individual project demands. This flexibility extends to applications in specialised fields like apparatus construction or the packaging industry, where off-the-shelf solutions may fall short. By collaborating closely with clients, Turk + Hillinger ensures that each heater is manufactured to exact standards, enhancing performance and compatibility while supporting innovative designs in diverse industrial contexts.
